Organic sulphur black dye (Sulphur Black 1 (C.I.53185)

Application

Used for dyeing:

• cotton, viscose and staple fibers, acetic silk and articles thereof:
  • in black color without using any bates;
  • in khaki color in combination with Sulphur Brown Y;
• for producing:
  • chromsulphine-Sulphur Black for leather;
  • Thiozole Black BS.

Appearance, properties

Thick black paste or black solid mass. Soluble in lye sulphides with formation of leuco-compounds. Well soluble in cold concentrated sulphuric acid without changing composition and properties. Decomposes under the action of hot nitric acid.
