Application
Collector in flotation of non-ferrous heavy metal, noble and precious metal ores and native copper. Effective in flotation of all sulphides as well as oxidized lead and copper after sulphidization.
Appearance, properties
Light-grey to yellow crystals with a specific odour, well-soluble in water, ethyl, methyl and butyl alcohols, insoluble in ether and benzene. Decomposes at high temperatures. Under action of mineral and organic acids gives off a free xanthic acid in the form of a clear oil rapidly decomposing into butyl alcohol and carbon disulphide.
